When we are in a position of leadership we have to constantly keep an eye on these patterns. Leaders make mistakes, and if we are not careful, we can easily get caught up in them and the leaders we lead.

There are patterns of leaders in every company. Often they are caused by poor management or lack of vision, but you can also be the cause. If not for your employees, then your organization. If not for your own self-awareness, then your organization.

It’s easy to become a leader and get caught up in the patterns of a company. It’s even easier to become distracted by your own thoughts, and the need to create a new leadership style can blind you to the problems you’re creating. The problem I think I’ve seen is that when people try to change the way they do things, they often forget that the way they did things is still the way they do business.
